It’s been a rough week in the markets, but our devs have been hard at work. In this article we are going to be highlighting some of the development progress over the last two weeks 🥦

Green DEX Aggregator

Green DEX rising from the ashes

If you haven’t heard, the Brokoli Green DEX got exploited recently. The total losses were around $80k, and all affected parties have been fully refunded.

We shut down the DEX and started working on fixing it. Our back-end developers were hard at work to improve contract security. Right now the improved version of the contracts are being tested in the Kovan and Ropsten testnets. And the DEX has been reenabled on testnets for now. Users will see a notification bar as well indicating on which networks DEX can be tested.

Coinbase wallet support added

Now the DEX has Coinbase wallet support, this was a needed change in order to capture more user usage in the DEX, and reduce the need of transfering funds from one wallet to another. Also since we have a customisable system, new wallets are easy to add. 💲

Miscellaneous bug fixes

• Fixed wallet disconnect bug: Sometimes when a user switches networks, the wallet disconnects. Not anymore, this issue has been fixed.
• Fixed the explorer url after the transaction, previously this didn’t work.
• Fixed transaction history sometimes not shown on mobile view.
• Fixed minor annoyances (eg: when page switches, the user is not scrolled to the top)
• Fixed mobile view

User profile page

Another big update is the user profile page. Users can now access the profile either from the front page’s trading section, or from the user dropdown. User profile shows the user’s token balances (balances are shown for the tokens that we support on the DEX), and more details on the impact, not only trees planted, but also CO2 emissions.

Tree Research Pages

As you may know, we are soon going to launch snapshot.org voting, where people will be able to vote for which tree-planting organization gets funding from the Climate Fee fund. Our developers are building an easy-to-use site, where users can see info about the organizations, raise amounts, voting dates and more. This is a Wordpress + React solution, which helps us quickly develop a CMS and add new features in the future. Using this approach not only we have crawler friendly pages, have an ability to reuse some of the components for later, and iterate fast on them.

Green Launchpad

It’s no secret our Green Launchpad was riddled with little annoying bugs: invalid network messages, mobile wallet issues, sometimes unable to transact and other weird things.

We are completely revamping our green launchpad system. In other words, the whole IDO platform is being rewritten from scratch, using VUE3, Vite, Typescript and applying newly found knowledge.

So what does this mean? A lot of things, we can now easily onboard new IDOs, simply create a configuration file, describe the new IDO, and it will work outside the box, and also a custom URL will be created. No need to fiddle around the code, make custom changes to get something working, no more glitches. Oh, and the launchpad details can now be viewed on browsers which are not Web3 enabled. and there is support for multiple wallets.
